"We bring you comfort and peace in the name of Jesus"
One woman called from Aleppo, Syria's largest city, to tell of a serious bread shortage and to urge Christians to share with others. Trust in God to provide from day to day, she said, and share your bread rather than let it go bad amid the power outages.
A follow-up caller endorsed the woman's appeal for more sharing and recounted his own experience. When he gave one of his two loaves of bread to a neighbor who asked for help, the Lord provided the caller with two more loaves the very next day, he told the program hosts.

God is multiplying your gifts among Syrian refugees

Donate to: Refugee/IDP Assistance Fund, Syria Relief, Global Hunger Relief (previously World Hunger Fund)
According to their website:
Baptist Global Response is facilitating ongoing projects with Syrian refugees in four countries, Palmer said.
“Most of these are the distribution of food packets, hygiene kits and temporary shelter needs to sustain families who literally have walked away from pretty much everything they own,” Palmer said. “All of them are done in the love and name of Christ to help these who have no one else to turn to.”
In the face of such great need, it is hard to only be able to share a small amount, Palmer added.
“I thought about the miracle of the fish and loaves. I wondered how God would multiply the small amount of food that each of them received,” he said. “I then thought about the generous donors in my home country. Even though many gave small amounts, God had multiplied their gifts and blessed them so that so many this day were blessed.
“We ask continued prayer for wisdom and knowledge -- to find the most effective and efficient places and people in need that we can help, to choose wisely,” Palmer said. “We also pray for continued safety and guidance for our partners who put so much at risk to respond. And we pray for peace -- true peace -- that can only come from above, for all of those caught up in this terrible tragedy.”

Samaritan’s Purse is delivering aid to many forgotten families who are fleeing ongoing bloodshed in their homeland
Describing their work, Samaritan's Purse states:
Refugees fleeing the ongoing violence in Syria are finding help in northern Iraq. The Kurdistan Regional Government is providing three meals a day for more than 172,000 people, while supplying sufficient shelter, medical care, and in some cases even electricity.
Samaritan’s Purse is partnering with the government to provide mattresses, diapers, blankets, pillows, and other items to hundreds of families living in camps. For the past month, more than 50,000 refugees have streamed into neighboring northern Iraq. Thousands more are coming every day for fear of their lives as international tensions continue to rise and a targeted military strike against Syria looms.
